What age campers will I be working with?
The answer depends on a variety of factors, including your position, your preferences and our needs. Counselors work with a particular group of campers throughout the entire summer, while Specialists work with different ages of campers throughout each day. We will have a conversation about your preferences during your interview process.
Do I need to interview in person?
Absolutely! We get to know each of our staff members very well before the first day of camp. Additionally, it is a great opportunity for you to meet our year round team, see our magnificent facility and catch a glimpse of the great activities in store for the summer.

What type of training do you provide?
There is plenty of training at LakeView to ensure our campers have the best possible experience. This includes both pre-camp training and coaching throughout the summer. We also help committed staff obtain advanced certifications to better prepare for their summer responsibilities.
What is the compensation for the position in which I’m interested?
Compensation varies by position and years of LakeView experience. In addition to your primary responsibility, there are ways to earn additional compensation, such as before/after camp work, driving a mini-bus (must be 21), being a bus counselor or referring a friend or colleague to work at LakeView. Please note that gratuities from parents are also a thank you and reward for a job well done!

Do you provide transportation to and from camp each day?
Depending upon your responsibilities, transportation on a camp bus may be available.
Are the days at LakeView tiring?

Do I bring my lunch or is lunch provided?
Our staff enjoy the same high-quality lunches that our campers receive, including a hot entrée, a variety of sandwiches, salad bar and more. Please see our Food@LV section for more information.
Are part time positions available?
A summer job at LakeView is a full summer commitment. Our campers count on our staff to be there for the entire day throughout the summer.
